1. Record and maintain financial transactions:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare and post journal entries for various financial transactions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting system.
2. Reconciliation and analysis:
- Reconcile bank statements and other accounts on a regular basis.
- Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or irregularities.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and statements for management review.
3. Assist in month-end and year-end close:
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Contribute to the year-end audit process by providing necessary documentation and information.
4. Financial reporting and compliance:
- Assist in the preparation of various financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Assist with tax filings and other statutory reporting requirements.
5. Process improvement and system support:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose solutions.
- Provide support and training on accounting software and systems.
- Assist in implementing new accounting procedures or systems as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
- Prior experience in accounting or related roles is preferred.
